Describe what you love about what you do.
As a dermatologist, I see many patients daily and what I find most rewarding are the relationships I've built over the years and the gratitude shared by patients. I feel honored to serve the New Orleans community. That being said, there's a huge gap in access to healthcare, so I also provide free skincare tips and education on medical conditions on my social media platforms, which I find equally as rewarding.
Describe what you see as our future.
I want to help make New Orleans a healthier city. Chronic disease is a major epidemic, so incorporating more accessible opportunities for movement/exercise, healthy nutrition, and mindfulness activities is vital for a thriving community. I'm also finishing up a fellowship in Integrative Dermatology and want to join other New Orleans healthcare providers to create a model that allows for a more holistic/integrative approach to healing.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I was on my way to becoming a concert pianist but realized in college that majoring in neuroscience and being pre-med was actually easier and more enjoyable than learning music theory.
