What do you think makes New Orleans a resilient city? What haven’t we been through as a city? We have dealt with so much loss, sadness, and neglect and we always come back stronger.
Describe your charitable work or favorite cause: I love working with Soledad O'Brien's PowHERful Foundation. The foundation paid for me to graduate from UNO—otherwise I would not have finished school. They’ve sent several New Orleans girls to college. I mentor young girls and travel across the country sharing my journey.
How has COVID-19 impacted your industry? The television news industry depends on us talking to people and gathering information. Thankfully, we can do that through Zoom and Skype, but I certainly miss interacting with people in person and doing stories that require being around people in our community.

Favorite album of all time: 21, Adele
Favorite movie of all time: The Wizard of Oz
Favorite food and where to get it: Banana cream pie at Emeril's (I am a dessert girl!)
Favorite destination: New York
Favorite drink or cocktail: Eggnog Daiquiri
