Describe what you love about what you do: Son of a Saint’s work is tremendous and I stand on that statement without bias. We’re transforming the lives of fatherless young men and, in turn, transforming this city. I feel a sense of privilege to serve as an example to these young men who overwhelmingly look like me.
Why in New Orleans? There is a need that cannot be ignored and it’s greater than anyone can imagine. Being able to pour energy, time, talent, resources back into New Orleans, which is a place that’s given so much to the world, feels right and equitable.
What about New Orleans inspires you? New Orleans is charming, intoxicating, and unapologetic about its perfections and imperfections, while simultaneously trying to evolve to a better version of itself.
What advice would you give your twenty-year-old self? Be kinder to yourself. Remember that rejection will never define you. Develop a better relationship with the word "no" and work harder to hear the word "yes".
