Name something about New Orleans that always puts you in a good mood: Costuming. I love a good costume and I'm grateful to live in a world in which a costume closet is a necessity.

Describe what you love about what you do: As an artist, I like that I can become swept up in an idea and it’s my job to stay there for as long as I need to. I love that my whole life gets layered into my work and I can build a space that is completely mine within the universe.

Favorite simple indulgence: Free time. Any Friday or Saturday that I can roam around and have a casual lunch with a friend.

Why in New Orleans? Nola has a particularly rich sensory about time which is deeply romantic. What is it about the mystique of the past mingled with the present in this city? I don’t think we are really supposed to understand it, but I have never lived in a place that woos and whispers in such an elegant dreamlike manner. It is an excellent place to conceive artwork.

Favorite restaurant: I've got all the feels for Zasu right now.

Favorite bar: The bar at Justine

Favorite place to score things for your home: Nadine Blake

What advice would you give your twenty-year-old self? Dump the boyfriend.
