Give the gift of comfort while giving back this year when an order is placed with Leandoers. The local slipper brand, started by two Tulane graduate students, is donating a pair of all-season slippers to a foster child in need for every pair of slippers purchased through the end of the year.
"We are working with an organization called Foster the Love Louisiana," co-founder Joe Shamp told Adore. "This is an organization that provides resources to foster homes and families. The foster care system has been overwhelmed this year, so we wanted to help out in any way we could while providing visibility to this great organization."
Shamp said that Leandoers wanted to end the tumultuous year on a positive note. The first batch of donations will be delivered before Christmas and donations will be honored on purchases made through December 31.
The brand, which just celebrated its first anniversary in November, recently released a new model of slippers. The Lean Z debuted on November 30 and is made with upgraded materials, provides arch support, and is made in North America. The product is also more lightweight. "We are very excited about where this new model will take our young company."
