Should you find yourself in need of an activity with the family this holiday weekend or want to get ahead of your shopping, the Historic New Orleans Collection and its museum shop, The Shop at the Collection, are offering a one-stop shopping experience. On Sunday, December 1, shoppers will find both unique and locally made gifts at the event, which features 10 New Orleans artists on-site. The second annual event also coincides with the museum's Member Appreciation Day; current THNOC member will receive a 20% discount on all purchases. (Memberships can be renewed in advance here.)

The following 10 local artists will be on-site selling selections of their merchandise:

- Alison Ford Metals (jewelry)

- Carnival Sculpture (papier-mâché art by Brian J. Bush)

- Jill Shampine (hand-crafted pillows, handbags, and wall art)

- Maison NOLA (baby gifts)

- Nick Conner’s Woodenwares (home décor made with salvaged wood)

- Passion Lilie (ethical apparel for men and women)

- Peggy Bishop Pottery (indoor and outdoor art)

- Pete’s Papercrafts (laser-cut jewelry, dioramas, ornaments)

- Pop d’Art (makers of the New Orleans Original Shotgun Gingerbread House)

- Poppy Tooker (author of “Drag Queen Brunch”)

Refreshments from Sobou and Café Cour will be available. There will be a raffle during an event and the museum's full assortment of exhibitions and guided tours will be available. The store will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the art market will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and no advance registration is required.
