New Orleans has its fair share of eccentric quirks. It's only fitting that the city would be filled with historic homes in hues across the spectrum. On Friday, June 12, the Preservation Resource Center is hosting a one-hour webinar all about interior and exterior paint. During "Beyond the Walls," Brooke Cranford of Brooke Cranford Design will cover all things paint, including how to to create color schemes appropriate for your home's architecture, neighborhood, and style.
The New Orleans-based interior designer has over 12 years of experience and specializes in renovations of historic properties and new construction within historic districts. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, she started her design career in Charleston, South Carolina before moving to New Orleans to pursue a Master of Preservation Studies degree at Tulane University.
Participants will leave the complimentary talk with practical tips "on which elements to paint and with what finishes, how to test colors, and what to ask a painter before a job begins, as well as types of paint and specifications for zero VOC paints." The class begins at 12 p.m. and a video of the talk will be available after the live discussion ends.
