As the weather starts to cool off (or not), we’re trading in our bathing suits and sundresses for sweaters and jeans. Ahead of the upcoming season, Adore asked local boutiques about their favorite trends for this upcoming season. Look for these 3 trends the next time you’re out shopping.

Zadig & Voltaire Remo Leo Dress, $358

Animal Print

“We will be seeing lots of animal prints, like leopard and snakeskin, in non-traditional color ways,” said Susu Stall of Sosusu. They’re stocking trendy pieces from Zadig & Voltaire and Kule, among others. Pairing animal print with bold, neon colors is crucial, according to Stall. Look for this trend reflected in both casual and dressy clothing.

Saint Laurent Fedora in Leopard Print Shaggy Felt, $827

Hats

Soft hats are all the rage, in a variety of shapes, from baker boy hats to bucket hats, according to Danielle Conrad of Wildflower. Look for low brims that droop over the eyes and vintage color ways and patterns (including animal print!). This season, fashion houses like Saint Laurent and Chanel are bringing a modern edge to these classic hats.

Le Superbe Liza Sequined Tulip Skirt, $345

Sequins

Sequins and crystal embellishments will continue to trend into the fall. At Sosusu, look for embellished shoes to add some brightness to any outfit. On the more casual side, Wildflower is offering sequin skirts to pair with a graphic tee (her favorites are from Schnell Studio). According to Stall, sequins and metallics will remain trendy year-round, depending on their weight.
