New Orleans and Mignon Faget go hand in hand. This year, the local jewelry designer celebrates 50 years since the launch of her first collection. To commemorate the milestone, Faget revisits her initial collection Sea and presents Sea, Revisted as her Fall 2019 line.

"Sea is my first collection. The creations are bold and elegant in their simplicity," Faget said. "When a form is transferred from its natural material into another material qualities remain, new qualities are adopted. This marriage produces a particular vitality, central to the conception of this collection."

Sea launched in 1969 at a time when women entrepreneurs were a rarity in the city. The new collection is bold, playful, and pays homage to the past. Ocean lovers will particularly love the pieces as they contain silver sand dollars, stunning oyster recreations, peach moonstone, and plenty of pearls. The collection also includes glassware and platters for food or decor.

Each detailed piece is available online for purchase. To celebrate, the brand is hosting a party (and the perfect reason to shop) at Bevolo Glass & Lighting Museum on Friday, August 23rd. From 7 to 10 p.m., guests can experience the designer's "creative history and legacy of her namesake brand." Attendees will enjoy custom cocktails by JusTini Cocktails while indulging in light bites and an oyster bar (how fitting!) from Palate New Orleans. Music by DJ Rozay Rell is sure to set the mood as the crowd mingles and shops.
