For the month of September, Domenica, the acclaimed Italian restaurant located in the Roosevelt Hotel, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their opening with a special menu. Executive Chef Corey Thomas and the Domenica team are offering a menu of crowd favorites from over the years, including truffle risotto with pancetta croutons and paneed veal with arugula and shaved pecorino. Those who indulge in the special menu will also be offered complimentary limoncello, Italian lemon liqueur, and takeaway brutos.

This past Sunday, Domenica held a party to kick off the anniversary celebration, featuring specialty cocktails and takeaway items. They celebrated in style, with a balloon display from Badass Balloon Co. The celebration highlighted the spirit of Domenica, which is known for its happy hour and curated wine list.

Domenica, which translates to “Sunday” in Italian, has been declared “the best [pizza] of all time locally” by food critic Tom Fitzmorris. Chef Alon Shaya, best known for his restaurants Shaya and Saba, won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: South in 2015 for his work at Domenica.

In 2014, the Domenica team opened Pizza Domenica, a more casual expansion of the original that focuses on pizza. As Domenica celebrates 10 years this month, Pizza Domenica will expand to a second location in mid-city. It’s safe to say the future is bright for this Italian staple.
