His debut cookbook, The New Orleans Kitchen: Classic Recipes and Modern Techniques for an Unrivaled Cuisine, is officially available for purchase. The James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur brings us 120 recipes for classic New Orleans cooking in a straightforward fashion.
Together with Jamie Feldmar, Devillier's book offers clear, step-by-step instructions for each of the dishes. Readers and home cooks can expect recipes for favorites like Duck and Andouille Gumbo to Abita Root-Beer Braised Short Ribs.
To celebrate, New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute and Octavia Books are hosting a launch party and book signing. The complimentary event takes place Tuesday, October 29th and will feature light bites from the book. Copies of The New Orleans Kitchen will be available for purchase at NOCHI.
