New Orleans is one of the 10 cities in the country to host the 2019 festival, which was recently nominated as the Top 10 Specialty Food Festival by USA Today. The event was started by Bloody Mary aficionados Evan and Yunna Weiss. "A few years ago, we were working on bottling our own Bloody Mary mix. After lots of evaluation and research, we decided against adding another product to the crowded market," Yunna explained. "And instead, we created The Bloody Mary Festival, where the best Bloody Marys in each city can come together for attendees to enjoy."

Since its inception, the event has grown from one city to 10 cities. Yunna says that the cities must have the following to be considered: an incredible food scene, great Bloody Mary options, and an audience that enjoys food and beverage festivals. "New Orleans checks off every category!"

Bloody Mary fans will get to sip on innovative variations that will all be mixed with Tito's Handmade Vodka. Some of the local participants include Meril, Ruby Slipper Cafe, and The Country Club.

During the festival, participants can create their own beverage with classic and eccentric ingredients such as beet juice, clarified beef broth, and wasabi. While at the event, attendees will enjoy tastes from other food and beverage companies as well as a temporary tattoo station and live music.
