Shake Shack is getting a proper New Orleans welcome. The newest location of the burger spot opens in Canal Place on Tuesday, December 3 at 11 a.m. and features a special frozen custard concrete created by Chef Kelly Fields of Willa Jean. The dessert is called "Missi-chip-pi Fudge" and it is obviously filled with Willa Jean's famous chocolate chip cookies and topped off with fudge sauce.
"Willa Jean is excited to be partnering with Shake Shack and hope that everyone stops in to try this crave-able combination," the company said in an email.
The Downtown location will serve Shake Shack's classic concretes as well as "Pie Oh My," a custard concrete that combines vanilla custard and a piece of Haydel's Bakery pie and "Shacky Road" which combines chocolate custard with marshmallow sauce, chopped almonds, and chocolate truffle cookie dough. We imagine we'll be making a pit stop (or two) to try the new creations during our holiday shopping.
Shake Shack is located on the corner of Canal Street and North Peters streets.
