July is coming to an end, so spend the last few days eating and drinking at these four fun events!

Thursday, July 28

The Chicory House, a new bistro located inside The Rink, is hosting its first big event. On Thursday, July 28, the eatery will host a spirited celebration of Elizabeth Williams' new cookbook Nana's Creole Italian Table: Recipes and Stories from Sicilian New Orleans with The Garden District Book Shop. Inside, readers will learn about her traditional family recipes and will see the evolution and blending of Sicilian and Creole cuisines. The event starts at 6 p.m. with a reception featuring food and beverages from the new release like meatballs in red gravy. After, Williams will be in conversation with Larry "Ragusa" Beron about the cookbook and the history of Sicilians in New Orleans and their impact on the local cuisine. Tickets include a signed copy and access to the event. Single tickets are $50 while couples tickets are $70 (admission for two with one cookbook). Guests can also purchase a "plus one" ticket for $20 to add a friend onto their ticket.
