Bellegarde Bakery is expanding its reach beyond New Orleans. The bakery, founded by Graison Gill in 2012, announced this week that three of its freshly-made pastas are now available online. 

The Apple Street bakery first introduced the fresh pasta in October; the three pastas available to purchase for delivery across the country are rigatoni, garganelli, and casarecce. Each is made with 100% freshly stone milled flour and is a delicious accompaniment to any meal.  A 10 ounce bag of pasta retails for $6 and will serve four to five people. The rigatoni is made with Bellegarde Durum and White Wheat pasta blend. Use this type with a hearty sauce or lots of vegetables! This bag has a one to two month shelf life.

The casarecce is made with the brand's Red Winter Wheat. The s-shaped twists are "best with bold creamy sauces, seafood, and rich earthy ingredients." This type has a three to four week shelf life.



Bellegarde's garganelli is made with its Durum and White Wheat pasta blend. This shape will hold anything from heavy sauces to lots of cheese (this is the ideal type to use for macaroni and cheese). The garganelli has a shelf life of one to two months.
