Flowers have long been a staple in the world of weddings, with no signs of disappearing. From bouquets to centerpieces, they're an important part of the big day and can truly transform a space. Magnolia Pearl is here to continue the tradition, but in a new and reusable way.
The New Orleans-based company rents silk flowers for nuptials of all sizes in the city and beyond. Magnolia Pearl launched earlier this year and has already been the "florist" of choice for several ceremonies and receptions. Crystal Melancon, the lead designer and co-owner, says that their largest wedding took place earlier this year: bouquets for the bridesmaids, bouquet for the bride, boutineers for the groom and groomsmen, and centerpieces. A silk flower wall and a hedge wall are also available for rental.
Melancon learned how to arrange from a florist friend and has plans to create a new line of flower choices. There is a 30-day window to order the flowers and orders are sent out two days prior to the event, with next business day return. While most of Magnolia Pearl's events have been weddings, they also have provided flowers for showers and other parties.
Melancon hopes to expand Magnolia Pearl and eventually have a storefront where clients and potential clients can see every option in person.
