While Christmas Day has come and gone, these experiences are sticking around! Extend the festivities with Audubon Zoo and City Park and their respective lights displays. The events, which are both family-friendly, contain impressive lights, rides, and nightly entertainment. 

Audubon Zoo Lights

Presented by Children's Hospital, Audubon Zoo Lights is perfect for locals and visitors alike. Holiday treats, as well as seasonal craft brews, are available to enjoy while experiencing the Twinkle Tunnel, the animal-themed light displays, and the Gumdrop Hop. Some of the Zoo's most popular animals are on display in the form of silk-lighted replicas. The family-friendly event is open on Thursday, December 26 through Monday, December 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. (the last entry is 8:45 p.m.). Members can purchase tickets online for $10 or at the door for $13. General admission is $15 online or $18 at the front gate. More information here.

Celebration in the Oaks

If you haven't seen the 1 million plus lights at this year's Celebration in the Oaks display, you're in luck! Running through Wednesday, January 1 (except Tuesday, December 31), guests can enjoy the twinkling LED bulbs and 17 amusement park rides in City Park. General admission tickets are $10, while admission and unlimited ride access costs $28. The hours are as follows: Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The last entry to the event is 30 minutes prior to closing. More information here.
