This year's College Football Playoff National Championship is all the more special. The highly anticipated event takes place in New Orleans on Monday, January 13 with the LSU Tigers competing for the highest honor. Whether you're supporting LSU or Clemson, or simply love football, fans will be pleased to know that the priceless trophy will be on display in the city.
On Friday, January 10, The Historic New Orleans Collection is hosting a complimentary viewing party. Visitors can see and take photos with the 24-karat gold trophy before Monday's game. They'll also be able to experience the museum's sports-centric exhibition Crescent City Sport: Stories of Courage and Change during the extended hours. Guests will have the opportunity to take pictures with all of the exhibition's hardware including the original Sugar Bowl trophy and the "original Tiffany-crafted Vince Lombardi Trophy awarded to the Saints following the team’s victory at Super Bowl XLIV in February 2010."
The event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. and The Shop at the Collection and Café Cour will also be open (the perfect refuge for non-sports fans). Admission to the party is free and no registration is required. More information can be found here.
