Romney Studios is helping its devotees reach new heights with an expansion into the Lower Garden District. MVMT by Romney is the second studio to come from local wellness warrior Erin Romney-Cazes and offers crowd favorite classes such as Pulse and Megaformer, with the addition of a trampoline cardio workout called Bounce.

The glossy space, located in close proximity to Downtown, officially opened its doors June 29th and already presents a robust schedule taught by new and veteran instructors. The light-filled studio features two rooms: one dedicated to the Lagree Fitness Megaformers and another featuring shock absorbing floors for Bounce, yoga (now offered every day), and Pulse. Pop up classes--think breathwork and meditation sessions--are also in the pipeline.

Bounce, already a popular option, is a low impact, high-intensity cardio workout on and off of the mini rebounder. The calorie-torching class uses hand weights and ankle weights in between jumps and boasts benefits such as improved digestion and muscle tone. Paired to a pumping playlist and targeting each and every muscle, the class is unlike any other in the city (and actually quite fun).

MVMT contains a retail space, two well-designed bathrooms and showers (complete with Savon de Marseille soap and fresh flowers), and a beauty bar for post-sweat refreshing. The studio's new neighbors include Krewe headquarters, a weekend social club called sun-days, Claret Wine & Cocktail Bar, and Satsuma's latest location. "There's an influx of people at all hours," Romney told Adore in May. "We are surrounded by options!"

MVMT is located at 1320 Magazine Street. Classes can be booked here.
