Adore's new series will follow the typical morning routine of a New Orleans mover and shaker.
Evie Bories started her food Instagram account in the fall of 2014, while studying abroad in Italy, as a way for her family and friends to follow her food-related adventures. Just 5 years later, her account has over 25.5 thousand followers.
Bories, a native New Orleanian, posts photos of her meals from restaurants across the city. Some her favorites include Pizza Delicious, St. James Cheese Company, La Crepe Nanou, and Arnauds. (She tries to limit dining out to 3-4 nights a week). She'll serve as a judge at NOLA Mac n' Cheese Fest (October 12) and frequently holds contests for her followers.
Food has always been a conversation point for Bories and her family. "We are always talking about food," she says. "My mom, sister, and grandmothers are excellent cooks, so I've been spoiled with good food."
As @evie_eats continues to grow, Bories told Adore that she's enjoying the ride. "I love food, I love New Orleans, and I love photography. I have so many ideas of things I want to do in the future, but we'll have to wait and see."
Fridays are typically when Bories handles all things @evie_eats. Here, take a peek into how she begins her unique workday.
6:24 a.m. First alarm goes off, I hit snooze. I have several of them, but I'm just not ready to get out of bed quite yet. This process repeats itself until I can't peacefully sleep anymore.
7:00 a.m. It's time to get up. I usually can't sleep in past 8:30 a.m. anyways. This is when I'll grab my phone to check social media, which I know you aren't supposed to do right when you wake up but hey, I love scrolling through food pics! It's like my morning motivation. Sometimes I will also look at the pictures I took the night before and will start my editing process on the picture.
7:20 a.m. I am actually up and put on some motivational pump up music on my Spotify—I am talking Lizzo, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Maggie Rogers, and some Cage the Elephant. I like to mix it up while I brush my teeth, wash my face, and get dressed for the day. And before I even exit my room, I always apply some SPF.
7:40 a.m. I know I am going to be eating a lot today and I know I ate a lot yesterday, so I have to put a workout in here and there to keep me in somewhat shape. If it's not raining, I try to go for a run in Audubon Park. It's one of my favorite places—there are optional paths, and lots of fun people watching to do! As it is New Orleans, it's extremely hot and humid, so it's best to get it done early.
8:50 a.m. The time I take to run varies—sometimes it turns into a long walk, but either way I look the same after: nice and sweaty! I get home, shower, wash my face, and moisturize again. Get changed and all that jazz. Stomach growls and it's time to eat!

don’t let happy hour at @barfrances slip your mind! This burrata app is on it and it was so delicious— I’m already thinking about when I’m coming back for it again! It’s got sun dried tomato tapenade and lemon and garlic grilled bread 🥖. Helloooo flavortown! Anyways— happy hour is: Sunday- Wednesday 4pm to 7pm and Thursday- Saturday 4pm to 6pm! See you three?! Good.🤗 #evieeats . . 9:10 a.m. Sometimes I will make coffee at home with my French press that I have and I love using French Market coffee! If not, I will make my way over to the closest PJ's Coffee, or if I really want to treat myself I will get a Vietnamese coffee from District Donuts—so GOOD! Food wise? Depending on where I am is where I will end up eating. Sometimes I will make a smoothie with a blender bomb from Hushup x Hustle aka blenderbombs.com (they fill you up for a few hours). But when I really need more food, I will grab a breakfast sandwich to go from Cherry Espresso Bar on Laurel. Or I'll get one from Gracious Bakery—both are my current favorites. But if it's a treat myself kind of day? I get a chocolate croissant from La Boulangerie Bakery! You basically can't go wrong strolling around Magazine Street and Prytania Street in the mornings!
9:45 a.m. I've had my coffee and I've had my breakfast, so I am ready to get my work done for the day. I will set up shop somewhere, either at one of the spots I got coffee or breakfast, or somewhere outside...depending on the weather, of course. First thing I do is grab my Bando planner and make sure it is up to date.

10:30 a.m. I am scrolling on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and emails. I pretty much do this throughout the day. This is when I try to check my DMs, comment on other people's posts, and really try to engage with my followers!
11:00 a.m. Day has been planned. I don't always post at the same time everyday, it just depends what I am doing. This is usually when I finish up edits and narrow down what I want to post. My edits are very small, sharpening up a pic, and little brightness and color. I want it to look how it came out, but also want it to stand out! Sometimes I will have lunch meetings, so I get ready for that event or go to lunch. Either way my camera is coming with me! I love my camera; I got it at Lakeside Camera Photoworks. Time for the camera to eat first!
