Join the Historic New Orleans Collection this season for their slate of free Virtual Field Trips which are all open to the public. Students, parents, historic buffs, and more can explore New Orleans and Louisiana's vast history through the presentations and chat with THNOC staff.

The weekly group Virtual Field Trips use webinar-style Zoom calls and require a short registration form. Registration for group VFTs will close at 9 a.m. the day of the presentation. Teachers can also request a one-on-one VFT for their class, which can be done via Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. They will include interactive elements and must be requested at least two weeks ahead of the desired date.

As of now, there are four Virtual Field Trip topics: Louisiana Indigenous History (best for grades K-5), New Orleans and the Domestic Slave Trade (best for grades 6-12), Chat with THNOC Staff (great for all grades), and Exploring the Archive (great for all grades). Pre- and post-field trip resources can be found here.

If you cannot make it to a webinar, but are interested in the topic, you can request a recording of any of the Virtual Field Trips here.
