If you're finally ready to plunge into a new language or your French has become rusty over the years, Alliance Française of New Orleans is here to help! The school is offering online Summer sessions for both adults and children, with quite a few beginner French classes available (at both intensive and normal pace). Sessions begin Monday, June 22.
AFNO turned to virtual classes in March, which have been deemed successful. The school gained more students, many from outside of the Greater New Orleans area who wouldn't normally be able to attend in-person classes.
The online children's classes are also fairly new and the school says they've received good feedback from local parents. "Typically, we do not offer a large Summer program for children/youth, but this Summer we are offering youth classes for all ages," Joseph Pons of Alliance Française of New Orleans told Adore. "This is to respond to the demand of parents of French Immersion students who have lacked opportunities to practice their French with the last few months of school being at home."
After COVID, the school plans to offer some online and hybrid classes for those that are more comfortable with an online platform. "The majority of our courses will return to being in-person as we believe this is the best way to learn a language."
More information on the courses can be found here.
